35 Cows and a Kalashnikov plot

The Surma, a tribe of ranchers and warriors, live in the remote Omo Valley in southern Ethiopia. They turn out to be true artists in painting their own naked bodies and tell with pride about their lives, in which much is rooted in tradition but in which much is also changing. In Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, lives a group of men, the sapeurs, who escape poverty in a remarkable way by dressing in colorful suits with matching accessories. And in Kinshasa, on the other bank of the Congo River, wrestlers, including the albino man Texas and the young woman Zena, prepare for a match. A triptych about lifestyles where tradition, religion and modern African society are intertwined.
