1 Hour - 99 Years plot

Sex is one of the biggest taboos in Iran and especially the young people suffer from it. Sex before marriage is illegal in the conservative Islamic republic. Due to the high unemployment, more and more young Iranians are forced to postpone their marriage, which increases sexual frustration. The Iranian authorities have therefore restored an age-old Shiite custom: the so-called temporary marriage, the Sighe. Portraits of a number of young Iranians who have used this 'Iranian style flash wedding'.
