A Passau restaurant owner hires Austrian private detective Ferdinand Zankl to look for his girlfriend Lina, who has left him. He is missing fifty thousand euros, ten luxury watches and cocaine. To look for her, Zankl recruits Frederike Bader, a Berlin policewoman who is in a witness protection program in Passau.
