"The Crime in Polná"

In 1899 on the Saturday before Easter, the lifeless body of the nineteen-year-old seamstress Agnes Hruzová is found between Veznicka and the town of Polná. She has a deep cut to her neck and probably bled to death. The killer didn't rape her. The doctors find that little blood has been found in the area and the answer is quickly prepared: the Jews have used this to make their matzah. The 'perpetrator' is also quickly identified: the Jewish tramp Leopold Hilsner.
