Woman in the Dark plot
Hot-tempered John Bradley kills a man in a fight. He is sentenced to three years in prison. After his release, he moves into the secluded house of his late father with the intention of living a peaceful life. But one stormy evening, John is visited by Helen Grant, the daughter of the sheriff who got him into trouble before. While he is trying to get rid of her, a beautiful woman in an evening dress appears: Louise Loring. She turns out to be on the run from wealthy Tony Robson, who still has a bone to pick with her.
