Unspoken plot

Xu has become estranged from his deaf daughter and her new life at an American university. When she is murdered, Xu is in deep mourning and feels guilty. He travels to the United States and, as a former police officer, delves into the murder case. Xu believes police have the wrong suspect in mind. In addition, the research is hampered by racism.
