The corrupt doctor Bartley Morgan withholds important information from the police despite his professional honor in return for payment from mobsters. To the outside, Morgan appears to be running a profitable private medical practice with his assistant and nurse Margaret Hopkins. FBI agent Robert Anders has a tough job proving Morgan's illegal activities.
