Prominent neurosurgeon Michael Joyce tells his medical students a story about an affair he had with a married woman and that one day after the affair ended, she fell out of a window and died. Joyce suspected she had been murdered and set out to find her killer. Instead of handing the suspect over to the police, he intended to take revenge on the killer in his own way.
