The Scarlet Web plot

When he gets out of prison after three months for burglary, Jake finds the beautiful stranger Laura. She is waiting for him and offers him a lift to London. On the way, she tells him that she is looking for a thief to recover a letter used to blackmail her husband, financial advisor Charles. What Laura doesn't know is that Jake is actually investigating insurance fraud and was serving time in jail for a case. However, when Jake is accused of murder, he must first prove his innocence.
