The People Next Door plot

Gemma and Richard have just bought their first house and are also expecting a child. When they are well and truly moved in, they hear screams from the neighbor's house every night. Gemma listens again and is convinced that she also hears clapping and crying. She suspects that the neighbor's toddler is being abused. Feeling morally responsible, she decides to investigate.
