The Man She Brought Back plot

Despite his timid personality, John Ramsey joins the Royal Northwest Mounted Police and shows such great potential during training that his commander doesn't mind his budding romance with his daughter, Margo. The commander sends him to track down a gang of smugglers responsible for the death of a guard. However, his courage fails during his first assignment. He returns claiming he narrowly escaped an ambush, but the commander dismisses his excuse as cowardice.
