The Lodger plot
"A MYSTERY MASTERPIECE TAKES ON NEW LIFE"
London is in the grip of a serial killer, known as 'The Avenger', who is clearly working on a well-defined plan. The Buntings are an everyday family with daughter Daisy who earns a living as a model. One evening, the mysterious Angeloff who rents the guest room appears. The young man behaves very strangely and clearly falls for the charms of the blond Daisy. Mother Bunting begins to suspect that their tenant might be "The Avenger," a suspicion shared by cop Joe Martin, who also has a crush on Daisy.
