The Girl in the Picture plot

"Exposed to an unknown killer..."

George Keefe's brother was killed four years ago and the killer is still at large. Flipping through the Evening Echo, a magazine, George notices that someone has photographed something that catches his eye. One of the photos has enough detail to suggest that it was taken on the day his brother died. George carefully studies the photo. There is a girl waving at someone in a car and he can just barely decipher the number plate. George is stunned. It's from the stolen car that was found wrecked at the scene of his brother's murder.
