The Big Chase plot

"THE BULLET-BY-BULLET STORY OF A POLICE DRAGNET"

Pete Grayson is a Korean War veteran who returns and joins the Los Angeles Police Academy. Police Lieutenant Ned Daggert and journalist Milton Graves look back on Grayson's past. Among other things, Daggert tells that Doris, Pete's wife, is pregnant and she is concerned about her husband's safety. Meanwhile, incarcerated inmates Brad Bellows and Jim Meggs plan a major casino heist once Brad is out of prison. Doris's concern for her husband turns out to be more than justified.
