John Dean is a young, inexperienced police officer. On his first day at work, John gets into trouble with Leon, the corrupt owner of a local cafe. Despite advice from his experienced colleague, John strictly adheres to law & order. John's inflexibility provokes negative feelings among criminals in his neighborhood and he soon becomes their target. John gets very angry when a drunk woman jumps out of her window because of him. When the woman turns out to be dead, John is suspended. In his suspension period, John manages to solve a murder involving Leon and he now hopes for rehabilitation.
