United States Army Lieutenant Colonel Robert Taine and his wife Cecily Paine live in a village in England. Taine regularly hunts some pieces of his estate, which he recently acquired. One day, Taine shoots a suspected poacher with his shotgun. When he investigates this poacher more closely, he determines that he is dead and Taine initially thinks he is guilty of it. When the police and Secret Service are hunting him, Taine is on the trail of a suspect. Taine ends up in London and has to deal with a spy gang
