Ratas de la Ciudad plot

Pedro lives alone with his son in Mexico City. After a day out, they are almost run over by an unhinged policeman and the boy ends up in hospital. Because Pedro refuses to sign a statement stating that it was their own fault, he ends up in jail. In addition, he is assigned a corrupt lawyer, which ultimately puts him behind bars for five years. His son, who ran away from the hospital, has meanwhile ended up in a very violent youth gang that makes the city unsafe. When Pedro gets his freedom back, he can only think of two things: find his son and revenge.
