Rain from Stars plot

An old man tells his friends a horrific story he witnessed in the 1940s during the trial of one of the most brutal murders of the era. As the judges deliberate on the details, they begin to disappear one by one and end up in a seemingly completely locked room. As he continues with the story, it turns out that not only the judges have something in common, but also the men to whom he tells the story.
