Profundo Carmesí plot

Coral Fabre, a young sensual nurse, raises two children in Mexico in the late 1940s. In a magazine she sees a personal ad placed by Nicolas Estrella. On a whim, Coral writes to Estrella, better known as Nico. When they meet, they turn out to be quite different. Coral is not concerned with her appearance, Nico on the other hand is a real peacock. Coral immediately loves Nico, but his first reaction is to run away. Despite this, the two end up in bed together.
