Lynn Shaffer, wife and mother, is sentenced to ten years in prison for fraud. During her captivity, she witnesses the humiliating practices that her female inmates have to endure. Some of them are even forced into prostitution by the prison guards. Determined to end these horrific abuses, Lynn, with the help of her husband and lawyer, does everything she can to make her findings known to the outside world.
