PiraMMMida plot
1991, Russia. The talented mathematician Sergei Mavrodi develops the MMM pyramid, based on the Ponzi scheme. With the help of an intensive television campaign, among other things, it did not take long before Mavrodi had ten to fifteen million investors. In 1994, however, the pyramid collapses, leaving all investors duped and at least fifty committing suicide. In 1997, Mavrodi was bankrupt and a lawsuit against him begins.
