Patrick Nevil is suspected of joining an international espionage gang operating out of Mexican territory. The newspaper reporter Agnes Stuart, who writes an article about the corrupt nightclub owner Doc Lilley, has found documents in a search of Lilley's house that are incriminating for Nevil.
