Ôgon no Inu plot
Two friends are attacked by a bear while hunting. After one friend rushes the other to the hospital (where he will die from his injuries), their dog Goro is left behind in the woods. Yukichi Nagayama works at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and becomes involved in a corruption scandal. After threats and attacks, he flees Tokyo with a journalist and finds the abandoned Goro in Hokkaido. The dog turns out to be worth gold to the hunted Nagayama, who has important documents in his possession.
