Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase plot
According to their father's will, two old single sisters have to spend every evening in the family's mansion for 20 years before inheriting the old and dilapidated house. With only two weeks to go, the ladies plan to give their inheritance to a local orphanage, but some villains want to build a racetrack in the same location. When their driver is murdered and some ghostly events take place, private detective Nancy Drew and her ally Ted Nickerson decide to investigate, despite Nancy's father Carson explicitly forbidding them to do so.
