Attractive ice dancer Lila Laughton meets former ice show producer Carl Lang at his New York City apartment. Lia turns down Lang's offer to participate in his new Music Hall Ice Show. Back at the Music Hall, Lila discovers that she has left her wallet in Lang's apartment and returns. Lila is accompanied by the orchestra leader Don Jordan. Once there, they both discover that Carl has been stabbed to death. Gracie, who has been following Lila and Don, helps them remove any traces of Lila's visit. They also find a pair of expensive gloves, the laundry label of which refers to the wealthy Rita Morgan, George Morgan's wife. Rita turns out to have been a speed skater in Carl Lang's Music Hall shows. Rita admits that she was at Lang's apartment, but he was in excellent health when she left him. A blind man is her only witness. Don and Lila discover the true identity of this blind man.
