Les Bois Assassins plot

The brilliant, but sometimes too fiery, police chief Mailik Dahmani is seconded to the Cevennes after a turbulent professional period. Life soon becomes far too peaceful and Malik thinks about giving up his job. But then a body is discovered in the valley and he has to investigate the crime together with Gaëlle, a lieutenant of the local gendarme. However, he soon discovers that Gaëlle is just as secretive as everyone in the small hamlet. One day he unexpectedly encounters a mysterious, feral woman with an animal look. Everyone in the valley knows about the woman's existence, but no one dares to come near her.
