Le Meurtrier plot
An unhappily married architect becomes obsessed with a murder trial in which a man is suspected of murdering his wife, and he begins collecting newspaper clippings. Despite the man's acquittal, the architect is convinced that he killed his wife. He decides to visit the man and is even more confident after that visit. The architect gets into trouble when his own wife is found dead in a ravine. The man who was acquitted is sure that the architect killed his wife and starts blackmailing him.
