La Triche plot
On the quayside of Bordeaux, Jean Morane, a well-known ventriloquist and gay man, is murdered after his performance in a small cabaret in the city. Inspector Michel Verta starts the investigation. He himself falls in love with Bernard, a handsome young musician. This not only has a major impact on his family life, but also threatens his integrity, because he is married, has a child and Bernard is one of the suspects in the murder.
