Luca Altieri is a gambler who likes to play cards. He is a master of poker and is asked by a man called 'The President' to work for him. 'The President' owns several gambling palaces and Luca can mean a lot to him. Through his work Luca meets Maria Luisa whom he falls in love with. Unfortunately for him, she is the girl of Corrado, the son of 'The President'.
