La Bête de Miséricorde plot

Jean Mardet is a crazy guy who has been through it all! His car rammed into a truck, his wife was dying at his feet, he always remains meek in his discussions, undertakes a number of ambitious travel projects and again and again he is confronted with setbacks. Yet he wants to continue to help people who are suffering. Years later, he has a new specialty: he accompanies people who are unhappy because they have lost a loved one. If God does not want them to die himself, he himself sees to it that he can shorten their pain himself.
