“She's Got No Name” is based on one of the most famous unsolved murder cases in China. Set in a bustling alley during the Japanese occupation of Shanghai in the 1940s, the film centers on a woman, Zhan-Zhou, who is accused of the bloody murder of her husband - a murder she could not possibly have committed alone. The murder thrusts Zhan-Zhou into the spotlight and public opinion, forcing her into a fate intertwined with that of her own country.
