Ittefaq plot
Dilip Roy is a painter who pays more attention to his paintings than to his wife Sushma. When one day they are invited to a birthday party, Sushma is all set, but Dilip wants to finish a painting first. Sushma isn't happy about this and snatches the paintbrush from Dilip's hands, causing the situation to spiral out of control. Dilip strangles his wife and is charged with murder and placed in a mental institution. However, he manages to escape and in his flight he breaks into the first house he encounters.
