I Stole a Million plot
"The Story Of A Man Who REALLY Stole A Million!"
Grim taxi driver Joe Lourik is cheated by a fake finance company and he loses all his savings as a result. Joe tries in vain to knock on the door of the police for assistance and decides to go down the criminal path. Not long after, Joe is a wanted criminal and he flees to California, where he meets Laura Benson, who becomes his wife. Laura helps Joe get back on track by setting up a garage business with him. When Laura is pregnant, she asks Joe to confess his crimes to the police. He agrees, but before he goes, Joe decides to commit one last heist to make sure his wife and child won't starve while he serves his jail term. However, during the theft of $1 million, a cop is killed.
