Four Shall Die plot
Heiress Helen Fielding has dumped the shady Lew Covey for reporter Bill Summers. Covey tries to get his hands on Helen's inheritance and devises a plan to do so, involving spiritualists, fortune tellers and 'visits' from Helen's late father. However, when Covey is found dead in Helen's room, Bill Summers is suspected of the murder. This causes the necessary complications.
