"Sold into bondage when the Love Boat sailed!"
When Hop Toy's eldest daughter Ming Toy is about to be sold at a public auction, she is rescued by American Billy Benson. He takes her to the United States where Lo Sang Kee takes care of her. Ming Toy soon adopts Western customs, but her past returns and haunts her when Charlie Yong, a powerful figure from Chinatown, San Francisco, becomes obsessed with her and wants to marry her. Benson once again comes to Ming Toy's aid, offers her his house as a refuge, and he falls in love with her.
