A kind Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) but in business. Precisely that aspect (business) did not come across as convincing. To keep it interesting, so many twists and turns are given to the story that you will quickly lose the thread (who is working where and spying for whom) if your attention slackens for a while. Or maybe you should just put your mind to zero and let it wash over you.

Anyway, a film that is very poorly developed with an unrealistic basis and equally unrealistic and almost countless twists. Entertaining, but wafer thin and very nonsensical. More than 2* mainly because of the entertaining aspect. Could have been better.

Clive Owen and Julia Roberts apparently liked turning around each other in the Drama / Romance film "Closer (2004)" do it all over again in this entertaining Crime/Romance movie.

This story revolves around Ray Koval (Clive Owen) and Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts), who switched to corporate espionage after their rewarding careers with the American and British secret services, in which they both literally and figuratively bumped into each other. Then they see a golden opportunity: can't they cheat their respective bosses and run off with a huge sum of money? The question soon arises whether they can trust each other.

The charming story is quite nicely put together and also manages to captivate, but is told unnecessarily complicated (partly due to time jumps and plot twists), whereby the question is always what is meant and what is played. The strong chemistry between Clive Owen and Julia Roberts is a plus, with them pulling off all kinds of clever tricks that are effectively portrayed. Despite the fact that they don't trust each other at all in the story, they do feel enormously attracted to each other and that was of course very cliché.

In addition to the well-known Clive Owen and Julia Roberts, we also see the well-known actors Tom Wilkinson (in the role of Howard Tully, who is the CEO of "Burkett & Randle") and Paul Giamatti (in the role of Richard "Dick" Garsik , who is the CEO of "Equikrom").

All in all, it was nice to see this Crime / Romance film, especially because of the strong chemistry between Clive Owen and Julia Roberts, who fully support this film.

Boring, sleep-inducing film with a confused story, also in terms of chronology. No idea what the point of this was. The cast was good and that's about all the positives have to say about it. Also totally lacking in atmosphere, which didn't get any better even with the comical music. Crime / Romance? Unfortunately, I think I saw another movie.
