Due Occhi per Uccidere plot

Jean is told that he is being sentenced to death. He spends the night before his execution playing his trumpet. The next morning, he is taken to the gallows and executed, despite claiming to be innocent. Jean's friends, Rosy and Pierre, are convinced that nightclub owner Max is to blame and that Jean was wrongly executed. They decide to drive Max crazy by giving him hints that they know the truth.
