Die Tunnelgangster von Berlin plot

Retired professor Norbert (Oliver Reed) and his grandson Frank (James Pertwee), his girlfriend Jasmin (Michal Zoharetz) and three other acquaintances plot a perfect robbery on the Commerzbank in a Berlin district. Inspired by an illustrious burglary at a bank on the French Riviera, they dig a tunnel, which is intended as an escape route. They rob the bank, but an untimely departed customer alerts the police and besieges the building. The case ends in a hostage-taking of 16 people, which will last 17 hours. When the police finally penetrate the building, the gangsters with the northern sun have left via their escape route.
