Die Staatsanwältin plot
Judge Reuter (Peter Lohmeyer) was shot in the street. His wife, investigating judge Katharina Reuter (Lena Stolze), only now realizes that she did not know much about her husband's private life. The investigation is entrusted to her ex-lover, Commissioner Andreas Doepke (Christoph Waltz). Because she is left with many questions, she tries to find out more about her husband's true, if possible double life. Her father (Wolfgang Greese), who presides over a federal court, also knows more about the case than he admits to his daughter. Katharina then accidentally finds the corpse of her husband's mistress. Everything indicates that Judge Reuter has her death on his conscience. She decides not to talk to Andreas about her findings. Now she is also the target of the Russian uranium mafioso Grutschenkow (Manfred Zapatka). She becomes his prisoner and Andreas now begins a race against time.
