Der Leutnant vom Schwanenkietz plot
Werner Martin, a lieutenant with the East German police, is transferred to the East Berlin neighborhood of Schwanenkietz. There, the young policeman is first looked at with great suspicion by the older residents. But gradually he learns to deal with the problems in his department and eventually he is accepted by the population as a friend and helper.
