Deported plot
"What Happens to Gangsters When They're..."
Gangster Vic Smith is deported from the United States. He then goes to Italy, where he continues his criminal activities. Vic soon controls the black market, where he earns a lot of money from the shortages in Europe that arose after the end of World War II. Vic falls in love with the Countess Christine di Lorenzi, the good-natured patroness of the small village where he now lives. Under her influence, Vic eventually renounces further criminal activity and looks set to become an important and influential figure in his region.
