Ctyri v Kruhu plot

The lawyer Emil Fencl is retired and he returns to Prague from the place in the countryside where he has always worked. He goes to his own villa, where his cousin Karel now live with his wife Jitka and his single cousin Michal. Upon arrival, Emil rings the bell, causing an explosion and conflagration. Karel is killed in this. It seems suicide, but the researcher Captain Kudrna discovers that Karel had just discovered the new element luridium and therefore had no reason to commit suicide at all.
