Mary Webb is having an affair with Roger Kingsley. This criminal couple pose as a clairvoyant and a private detective in order to make unwitting victims. After making a lot of money with their scams, Mary thinks this is enough and wants to stop. Roger, however, is unstoppable and does everything he can to keep Mary on the wrong path.
