Checkpoint plot
O'Donovan is sent by his employer Warren Ingram to steal the blueprints of a competitor's racing car model. Ingram hopes to win the next car race with the information from the stolen documents. However, when the safe is opened, an alarm goes off and during a subsequent firefight, O'Donovan kills some employees. Because this theft has resulted in a lot of publicity, Ingram wants O'Donovan out of the way as quickly as possible, so that he himself stays out of harm's way.
