Chair de Poule plot
Daniel and Paul are caught red-handed during a burglary. Paul shoots someone in flight while Daniel is shot and arrested. He manages to escape from prison and goes into hiding in Haute Provence. There he befriends Thomas and Maria who run a gas station together. When Maria discovers who Daniel really is, she blackmails him into breaking open the safe so she can run off with the money. Thomas finds out about the plans and Maria kills him. Then suddenly Paul appears on the scene.
