Budapest Noir plot
Budapest 1936. As Hungary slides into fascism and the Jews find it increasingly difficult, crime reporter Zsigmond Gordon investigates the death of a smartly dressed girl, who is found in a park with a Jewish prayer book in her purse. The girl turns out to be murdered, but Gordon soon finds out that this is no ordinary murder. His research leads him to the shadows of the city: in brothels, in houses where communists hide. The deeper he digs, the closer it brings him to the powers that be who will do anything to stop him.
