Hanna's mother is a zoo director. Hannah is crazy about penguins and one day she befriends Tom, the son of the handsome architect Mark. Hanna's mother Sonja has been madly in love with him for a long time. Their relationship soon faces setbacks when they discover that Mark is responsible for a prestigious project that could spell the end of the zoo. Sonja fights for her zoo and for her relationship with Mark, until disaster strikes.
