When in the opening scene the ridiculous hairstyle of Melanie Griffith and Joan Cusack as well as Griffith's annoying voice set the tone, I wasn't really expecting this film, but gradually I can admit that the film has a certain charm, it looks away smoothly , still contains a portion of humor, the intrigue is amusing and acceptably constructed and in the end the three main actors support the film considerably. Also good adapted music.

A contradiction is indeed that the film won an Oscar, admittedly "but" for the music, but that the actors were also famously lauded, at least nominated, and that on the other hand the appreciation scores, also at IMDB, are fairly low.

Good film in which an ambitious secretary oversees her boss's affairs when he has a broken leg. A well-developed story in which a woman wants to make it in the big city. In terms of decoration, it is typically a product of its time (although it was probably also a bit exaggerated for that time). The three protagonists do a great job and secretly quite a few well-known names in the supporting roles. Absolutely entertaining, but my initial 4.0 stars are a bit too ambitious.

If there is nothing to complain about, then a high score is in order. Such is the case with Working Girl, a modern fairy tale about a naive young woman who wants to make it in the workplace; the opportunity arises when her mistress ends up at the clinic after a skiing accident and she prepares an important deal on her own. It's feel-good all over with some rom-com in between, but with a cast like this it was doubly enjoyable. Sigourney Weaver as a bitchy boss (or evil queen) and Harrison Ford as a sympathetic misogynist (or charming prince) really fell for me. Spacey's supporting role at the very beginning of the film is striking. It's true that it's a very caricatured portrayal of business life, but that didn't bother me. Why would you lose sleep over this in a movie like this? It is simply the intention that this class struggle between lower and higher functions comes to the fore in all sorts of ways.
Definitely predictable (so there was no doubt that Jack was also the boss's friend ) and in terms of humor it was never really over the top, but it was amazingly well scripted and you empathize with Tess. Narrow 4*
