Work Is a 4-Letter Word plot
"This Film Is Perfectly Normal ... Only The Characters In It Are A Bit Odd."
In the future, a man (David Warner) finds it more important to grow his magic mushrooms than to work or meet his girlfriend. He means well, because he thinks his mushrooms can counteract the animalization of society. To save his relationship, he takes a job at a nuclear power plant and there he feeds his magic mushrooms with all the energy he can lay his hands on. His magic mushrooms grow into enormous hallucinations and the chaos becomes complete when his employers also taste the magic mushrooms.
