Willkommen bei den Honeckers plot
Johann Rummel is a young waiter who wants to become a journalist at all costs shortly after German reunification. He has no high school diploma and no connections, but promises to write the story that all newspapers and magazines can't get: the last interview with the deposed GDR leader Erich Honecker. To gain the man's trust, Johann Rummel poses as an idealistic young communist and embarks on an adventure that eventually takes him to faraway Chile.
